I posted these self care ideas a few weeks ago in an IG story. I believe it was right after the deaths of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain. The deaths of these two celebrities had me thinking how important it is to pay attention to your emotions and how you’re feeling. We often get so caught up in day to day life and forget to check-in on ourselves. Self care isn’t about going to some fancy spa or going on a luxurious vacation. It’s about tuning out negativity, and focusing on what’s best for you emotionally and physically.
I make an effort to do something for myself daily. Whether it’s browsing inspiring quotes on Pinterest or waking up a few minutes early to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. (Anyone who knows me, understands that I’m a serious coffee drinker!) I’m on a mission to keep positive, upbeat vibes because life is going to throw plenty of curve balls at you along the way. So why not take care of you—-first!
