Lately, I’ve been trying to expand my wardrobe and think outside of the box. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’m obsessed with wearing black. It’s my favorite color! I am trying to create a more intentional wardrobe featuring pieces of clothing that are versatile. Pieces that can be dressed up or dressed down, and are my signature go-to’s. I like to call them my versatile basics.
Since I’m trying to be more intentional with what I purchase, I’ve spent some time browsing and researching different looks online. By doing this, it allows me to create the look I really want to achieve. Typically, I find inspo from Instagram, Pinterest, and various online stores. Not only does browsing before buying help me have more of an idea of the look I’m going for, it also eliminates me from having buyer’s remorse or spending unnecessary money.
I would love to create a minimalist wardrobe, but I don’t have that much discipline! However, I plan to stick to a certain color range: black, nude, gray, and blush.
Here are a few stores that I’ve either purchased from or find inspo from. All of these have plenty of options for tall and curvy women.
Babes & Felines Tons of versatile basics with so much stretchiness for us thick girls!
Boohoo Quality isn’t the greatest! So I usually shop here for a specific event when I don’t care too much about keeping the item long term. Lots of curvy and tall sizes available.
Nasty Gal Unique finds! I shop here when I’m looking for something different.
Nordstrom I’ve really only purchased beauty items from Nordstrom on a consistent basis. I’m having fun exploring clothing brands at Nordstrom. I’ll do a separate post on brands for tall, curvy girls that I like from here.
ASOS So many options for work or going out for tall, curvy women.
NYnCO Cute work clothes in tall sizes.
Zara I love browsing Zara’s website for inspo. Lots of basic pieces that can be dressed up or down.
H&M They have one of the best high waist stretchy jeans for curvy girls. I have three pair in different colors and, they have lasted me much longer than more expensive brands.
Forever 21 I usually shop here for inexpensive basics, i.e. bodysuits and t-shirts.
Hopefully, these sites give you some inspo and point you in the right direction if you’re tall and curvy like me. I also want to add that I love going thrifting here and there for unique finds as well. Happy shopping!
