3 reasons why you need a staycation

As the year comes to an end, there’s so many reasons why you need a staycation. I LOVE the idea of a staycation because you’re able to gain inspo while not having to travel very far. Recently, I had a staycation at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, which is literally two blocks away from my apartment. But, it was so worth it! Keep scrolling to see the reasons why you need a staycation ASAP!

Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel Staycation

1. Get Out of Your Normal Routine

One reason to have a staycation is to break away from your everyday routine. We constantly get sucked into the rat race of work, go home, have family time, then, wake up the next day and do it all over again. A staycation will give you a break from the norm and re-energize your routine. While heading to the hotel, I literally felt so excited to have a change of pace. I saw new faces, walked to one of my favorite coffee shops and ordered room service in bed!

2. Stress Free and Saves Money

I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m terrible at planning! That’s another reason why a staycation is needed if you don’t have time to plan. Plus, packing, dealing with airports, or driving long distances can be time consuming and cause anxiety. During my staycation, I took the stress out of packing by bringing a few of my favorite clothes and beauty products with me. I love when I’m able to pack light and not over stress about outfits, makeup, etc. Also,  you can save a TON with a staycation. My tip is to play around with dates on Google and choose a timeframe that is cost effective and works best for your schedule.

3. Let Your Creativity Flow

I was able to take a ton of amazing photos at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel for my bday themed photoshoot. As a blogger and content creator, I planned looks and themes around the vibe of the hotel. It felt really good to create content outside of my apartment. Don’t get me wrong, I love my apartment, however, I saw an increase in my creativity by simply being in a new space.  I also planned for the remainder of the month and wrote down goals for the coming year.  Having a new space to work in, take pictures, and to self reflect, is definitely a reason you need a staycation asap!

I know this will not be my last staycation. I keep thinking about how energized I felt after it was over. All the more reason why I know I’ll be adding more staycations into my routine. I’ll be sure to let you all know about the next one!
